I’m back home after a 2 week vacation at the Jersey Shore.
I went out detecting several days. I am usually on the beach by 5:45 am to watch the sun come up as I detect.
I find it very relaxing. Very few people are on the beach at that time. There are a lot of amateur photographers out trying to get the best picture of the days sunrise.
One thing I did notice this year was the lack of dolphins swimming along the coast. In years past I would see them everyday. This year I only saw them twice. Whatever direction the dolphins would swim would be the direction on the beach. So this year I was lost…
I ended up with over $40 in change, $7 in bills, one 10k gold wedding band, 1 silver ring, a silver cross, and a lot of foreign coins. Some of the are from Jamaica, Russia, the Caribbean, Euros. There was even a fake gold coin. I did have 1 successful recovery of a wedding band for a guy who called for my services. Not bad for some very sanded in beaches.
Now starts the planning for next years trip!!
